Meet Arlene

Tell us more about how your business started.

Though I absolutely love what I do, I have always been drawn to the beauty industry and always had a great interest and passion for the world of aesthetics. A few years ago, I decided to venture off and pursue this passion by learning a new art and skill set - lash extensions. That was fun but I wanted more and so I was introduced to the wonderful world of medical aesthetics. I saw this as a great opportunity to be able to incorporate my nursing skills and my artistic side.

Radiant Expressions Injectables & Lashes (@reilbeauty_rn) is the name of my business. I am a cosmetic nurse injector operating under medical order and consultation of a nurse practitioner and will be joining the beauty team @perfectwink performing cosmetic injections on a part time basis.

How has Covid-19 affected your business?

Covid 19 has affected the business drastically. All operations have stopped and I have temporarily closed as medical esthetics is not an essential service.

How do you continue to service your clients?

Though I am not servicing clients at this time, I continue to attend webinars and ongoing education to be able to provide my clients with the best care possible once services can resume.

What are you doing to prepare yourself for when you can re open your business?

I have ensured that my supplies are well stocked including the additional PPE that will be required with all appointments, updating my appointment policy and keeping up to date with information as it comes

How are you managing personally?

With 3 kids, my husband and 3 dogs home 24/7, our days have been a little chaotic. But we are managing by keeping a routine, exercise lots of baking and cooking.
